Our Staff

Monica focuses on building relationships and working to help each client to reach the goals that they see as most important.  Monica is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Professional and holds a Specialist Degree in Counselor Education & Master's degree in Counseling & Student Affairs, both from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She has experience working with adults, children, teens, & college students, and specifically in the area of diversity & inclusion. 

She has additional training in the areas of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Postpartum Depression & Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Based Family Therapy, Diversity & Inclusion, LGBTQIA+, CBT & Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  She always uses a trauma informed approach to treatment and will work with you to identify which strategies are best to help you or your children reach their goals. 

Monica also teaches as an adjunct at the University of Nebraska at Kearney for various counseling classes and enjoys spending her free time reading, baking, doing yoga, and spending time outside.
