Carlene Ritta is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner LMHP from rural northeast Nebraska. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Service Counseling from Wayne State College and a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Carlene completed her undergraduate internship with a children’s group home where she worked with youth with behavioral concerns and difficulty adjusting to life changes. She completed her graduate internship at the SAFE Center in Kearney where she gained experience working with survivors of domestic violence and relationship abuse. Carlene also has experience working with children from hard places and their families through previous employment with a foster care support agency. Carlene believes clients come into session with the solutions to their struggles and deeply enjoys helping clients identify how to surface those solutions. She works primarily through cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy interventions.

In her spare time, Carlene enjoys spending time with family and friends, being in nature, art, photography, sports, and exercise.
